FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

At Unified Housing Foundation (UHF), we understand that life is often filled with unexpected surprises. At certain times, it is often difficult for hard-working people to make ends meet. That is why Unified Housing Foundation established the Financial Assistance Program (FAP). Every month participating UHF properties contribute a portion of their income to the FAP Fund. This Fund is designed to help people when they need help the most.

Who Qualifies?

The program is available to residents at participating UHF communities. The applicant must have lived at an UHF property for at least 6 months, paid a full 6 months rent, be a signor or the spouse of the signor of a lease, and their account must have been in good standing with no past due amounts.

Qualified Hardship & Benefits?

While there are many financial hardships in life, the FAP Fund considers the following circumstances as qualified financial hardships:

Death of an immediate family member.

Loss employment by the head of the household or spouse within the last 4 months.

Hospitalization for more than 3 days.

Divorce or separation of parents with one or more child.

Once an application has been approved, the Fund will pay a portion or all of the applicant's rent for a specified period of time. The amount financial assistance provided will be decided upon by a Review Committee and based upon the information provided by the applicant in relation to their financial situation.
